Empowering women. Strengthening communities.
Building a just and equal society.
Rooted in Gandhian values, driven by youth, empowering women.
Every year on March 8, Yuva Vikash Kendra (YVK)—a Gandhian Youth-Led Organization devoted to gender equity and rural empowerment across Northeast India-radiates joy and purpose in celebrating International Women’s Day through a vibrant blend of workshops, seminars, awareness rallies, and cultural programs. Rooted in the principles of non-violence, self-reliance, and social justice, YVK has, since 2016, created a platform that empowers women through education, leadership development, and civic engagement.
Interactive sessions where women gain knowledge on rights, leadership, and socio-economic resilience-fostering confidence and community solidarity.
A spirited march through local neighborhoods that amplifies calls for gender equality and women’s rights.
Vibrant performances in music, dance, poetry, and drama, honoring women’s creativity and heritage.
This annual observance by YVK not only pays tribute to women’s significant contributions in society but also inspires broader community support for inclusive development and sustained empowerment.
Through these multifaceted events—held annually with unwavering commitment since 2016—YVK elevates voices, fosters unity, and reinforces its mission to transform communities through the power of women’s leadership.
When women rise, communities thrive.
Together, we build a just and equal tomorrow.
